 AFM Panel at MMC 2005
"Despite the challenge of driving on the skating rink that passed for midstate roadways this weekend, MMC was once again an unqualified success and a treasure trove of treats for local music fans."
Barry Fox - The Patriot News
"Thank you for inviting Just. to play and attend the conference. The panels that we attended were the most enlightening and real discussions we have ever heard about the music industry. All of us in Just. have become even more inspired to make better music and keep doing what we love."
Thom, Jaycen, Todd, and Mike - Just.
"Just wanted to let you know that we had a BLAST at Smalls last night. The crowd was huge and completely insane for Rock. Easily one of the best places we've ever played. I hope we can come back very soon. And if you ever have band that needs a show here in Baltimore, please let us know. Thanks again! It was a great time."
Mikey - The Ripovs!
"We had a WONDERFUL time at the conference... Saturday night at Molly Brannigan's was great, and we hope to return next year to Harrisburg!"
Seth Kallen
"Just wanted to say thanks for this weekend. I had a great time. It was quite an experience trying to get there, but well worth it. Everyone I met was really cool and I thought the sound in the ballroom was great. So, thanks again. Let me know if you're ever in NYC - I'll buy the first round. Peace."
Andy Laird
"Just wanted to put a shout out to Tubby's on Saturday night. The sound was freakin' excellent and all three original bands were absolutely fantastic! We (Adrian Blitzer) didn't even deserve to be on the same stage as these bands! We were absolutely floored with the talent these bands brought to this place. For those that didn't attend, you missed some excellent entertainment. Some of the best I have seen in all the music conferences I have attended in many years. We thank John Harris for giving us the opportunity to play with all 3 bands. Bravo MMC 11!!
Adrian Blitzer - Raze to Ashes Mindset Defect, Solvi
"We just wanted to take out a few minutes to say thanks so much for the opportunity to be involved with MMC this year. The car show was crazy!!! The people at Cameron St Cafe were terrfic as well. Also, we had a great time at the urban workshop and the demo listening sessions. I saw Elaine Ramos from the IMC which was an added bonus. Once again thanks and keep us in mind whenever you do an event because we're more than willing to be down
with good people like yourself. Much Love and Appreciation
Johnny Clutch - Clutch
"I wanted to thank you for having me out for the conference this past weekend. I had a really great experience meeting people and performing in Harrisburg." Thank you.
Julz
We enjoyed being part of the conference and are glad we drove the 6 hours or so to get there and back... We made lots of new friends, made great connections with bands and business professionals, got interviewed twice, got good press and blogs and got some useful info at the seminars - Noel did a great job organizing them; the panelists were top notch. Thank you for having us! Best Regards.

::: Artist/Band FAQ :::
What's the difference between the "application," "submission" and "registration?"
The "application" or "submission" refers to submitting information and music to get a showcase slot. Your act must apply or submit an EPK (Electronic Press Kit) to have the opportunity to get selected to showcase February 15-18, 2007. The Deadline to submit is Dcember 1, 2006 and you can only do it at Sonicbids.com/mmc11."Registration" is the puchase of an All Access Laminate by individuals who want to attend all or most of the 4 Nights and 3 Days of the Millennium Music Conference events. When you register you get a personal laminate, a buzz bag, a listing in and copy of the conference directory and showcase guide and the MMC11 Compilation CD. You do not need to purchase a registration laminate to apply for a showcase and all showcase acts and artists recieve free credentials to attend on the day of their showcase. If you are not invited to showcase, you will still be able to purchase a registration at the early/student rate of $55.00 until February 2, 2007. Once again, you may apply to showcase at Sonicbids.com/mmc11.
How do I or my band apply or submit to perform at MMC11?
MMC11 accepts showcase submissions from August 22 through December 15, 2006. The only way to submit is the build an electronic press kit on Sonicbids.com. The fee is $20.00 and you also get a 3 month subscription to Sonicbids.com with your submitted epk for MMC11 February 15-18, 2007. You will not be considered for a showcase until we have your EPK. About 300 acts will get selected for 2007.
How can I be sure my application was received?
An immediate confirmation email goes out from sonicbids.com after your epk is recieved. You can also check your status regularly during the selection process.
How are bands chosen to play MMC Showcases?
We have a committee of people who listen to music and grade submissions. Every EPK is graded several times, then those with the highest scores are reviewed again and invitations are extended to showcase.
When will I find out if my band has been accepted for a showcase?
Early selections begin in late October. The Deadline to submit is December 1 and all final notifications begin on December 8th and continue until complete.
Do showcasing bands/musicians receive any compensation from MMC?
No. All acts and/or artists selected will receive credentials to attend the daytime sessions and trade show at the Penn Harris Convention Center on the day of their showcase.
Whats the difference between a wristband, credentials and a laminate?
A laminate is the all access pass that enables you to attend all conference events over the 3 Days and 4 Nights. Showcase Wristbands are offered to the general public for $20.00 about a month in advance and get you in free wherever there is a cover charge. Many venues don't charge a cover. Some are as high as $8.00. Credentials are passes for showcasing musicians to attend the panels, clinics, workshops, keynotes, trade show and mentoring sessions during the afternoons at the Radisson Penn Harris Convention Center.
What about the MMC11 Compilation CD?
To be considered for the MMC11 Compilation CD acts and artists must be selected to showcase and the must mail in 2 songs to be considered for inclusion. The cost is $150.00 to have your song placed on the MMC Comp CD, manufactured by DiscMakers, and your act recieves 10 copies of the CD and daytime credentials for the conference. Once selection is announced mail the music to: MMC11 Comp CD PO Box 1012 Harrisburg, PA 17108-1012
How do I reserve hotel rooms and is there a special rate?

professionals at the daytime music business sessions at the Radisson Penn Harris Convention Center. Daytime music business panels, clinics, workshops, keynotes, trade show, mentoring & demo listening sessions. The nightime showcase performances are all "open to the public."
